Mark your calendars for 12 October 2025 because the beloved local band, Bold as Brass Two, is set to rock the monthly ‘Sunday in the Park’ event at the Yungaburra Rotunda! This talented crew of local musicians is ready to bring some joy and energy to your weekend!
Featuring all well-known locals, John Godfrey on keys, Des Godfrey on bass, Ian Poggioli on drums and vocals, Joe Paronella on guitar and vocals and Chris Bourke as lead vocalist. All brought together by the musical direction of Werner Braun on trumpet and keys.
Bold as Brass 2, come together to keep the magic of music alive in their lives! The band, all mature aged, boasts an impressive 440 years of experience. Together they bring fun and laughter to their rehearsals, although they can be a bit sporadic with their busy schedules. Some are still in the workforce, while others are enjoying retirement and traveling. But when we do get the chance to meet, it’s all about having fun. They look forward to sharing their love of music with you.
Each performance is a delightful mix of new arrangements of popular songs, turning the Yungaburra Rotunda into a feel-good party!
And while you’re enjoying the music, don’t forget that Bold as Brass Two is also giving back. They collect donations for the band or a chosen charity at each concert. In the past, they’ve supported worthy causes like Carinya Home for the Aged, Tolga Museum, the Salvation Army Christmas appeal, and C & K local kindergartens and the Yungaburra Beautification group.

This is a family-friendly free event, and if you wish, you can donate directly to the band. All are welcome to attend!
Something special just for this ‘Sunday in the Park’ event. The Yungaburra CWA is celebrating 100 years of community service and providing free tea and scones!
Remember to bring along a chair, blanket, or rug to reserve your piece of front-row lawn. Refreshments are available from nearby shops. Parking is available via Short Street. In case of rain, the alternative venue will be the Yungaburra Rec Shed.
