World Cyanotype Day comes to Yucca Valley publically for the 3rd straight year. Come play and make your own small cyanotype photogram print. While you’re here, check out the Joshua Tree National Park Association’s fab space and store.
WCD 2025 theme is: Cultivating Community
This year, Joshua Tree National Park Association West is giving us space to create in the cozy back patio area. Plenty of parking, plenty of shade as well as sun for exposing our prints, plenty of community spirit. Located in Old Town Yucca Valley on the north side of Hwy 62, about a desert block east of Frontier Cafe.
This event is FREE. Family friendly with an adult present at all times. I supply all materials. At 1PM, depending upon how many folks are present, we will make a collaborative 3 1/2’ x 5’ cyanotype banner! Drop by any time between 11am and 2pm.
Want to make your print extra special? Bring something meaningful with you. Hint: Solid objects produce solid white shapes. Translucent objects produce intriguing forms as the UV light passes through.
One cyanotype per person until materials run out. By clicking YES to attend, that will help me prepare more adequately.
