Rotary Club of Youngstown will be doing its part to help eradicate polio on Thursday, October 23 by holding its annual Pints vs Polio event at Penguin City Brewing from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.
Here's the math:
+Penguin City will donate $1.00 to Rotary’s Polio Plus Fund for every pint of beer sold that day to commemorate the day!
+The Youngstown Rotary Foundation will match the amount raised, while the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will then match that total amount two for one.
+ With matching contributions, each pint sold equals $6 for the cause and can save 14 lives!

Rotary International launched Polio Plus in 1985 and was a founding member of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988. Through decades of commitment and work by Rotary and its partners, more than 2.5 billion children have received the oral polio vaccine. While polio has been eradicated in most of the world, the wild virus is still endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
