Starting Rite is a group, centred around your baby, above all, giving you chance to play with them, bond and meet some other parents who are going through all the same delights and challenges that a baby brings!
It is a 5 week course, with a maximum of 10 families booked on to it. Each week is centred around a different theme, with a book as a main focus, chance to read with your little one, sing songs and enjoy sensory experiences.
Each week, there will be a handout to take home with the key messages and reminders of the books and songs from that session.
The 5 sessions have the following themes:
Week 1 - Peekaboo!
Week 2 - Guess how much I love you
Week 3 - Splash!
Week 4 - Bubble talk
Week 5 - Storytime
Starting Rite is a faith baby course, with open questions for you to join in and discuss as much as you feel comfortable.
You may be asking what church can offer you and your family. You may be wondering about what values you would like your child to grow up with. Starting Rite helps you to think through and answer these, as well as giving lots of time for your own questions, while having lots of play and bonding with your baby!
The sessions are very laid back and centred around your baby. If they need to sleep, let them sleep, if they need to eat, feel free to feed them. The first half an hour of each session will offer a chance to have a drink, and chat with each other. We will then start the session, where we will share stories, songs and chat at your baby's pace. There will also be time at the end for another drink and a chance to chat, or ask any questions following the session.
Places need to be booked in advance, and are limited. Booking is for the full course of sessions - 23.09.25 - 21.10.25.
If there is a date that you can't make, let us know at the time of booking. To secure your place - email
