Join us for a series of sessions where we'll explore Rowntree Park's awesome annual wildflowers and pollinator-friendly perennial plants as we collect, prepare and pack their precious seeds!
These hands-on sessions, with ther Friends of Rowntree Park gardening lead Stu, offer an autumnal opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the fresh air, and contribute directly to local biodiversity.
Find out how to identify mature seeds, gently harvest and store them. You’ll also understand their vital role in supporting bees, butterflies, other essential pollinators as well as supporting the wider food chain.
Beyond the benefits to our ecosystem, the sessions are a chance to meet fellow nature enthusiasts, share in a rewarding outdoor activity, and take home some seeds to start your own colourful pollinator paradise. It's a perfect blend of fun, community, and positive environmental action!
Ideally you'd attend all 3 sessions, but you are welcome to attend as many as able/interested in:

Session 2- Tuesday 14th Oct 1pm-3pm
