Community Progress Council now offers its “Pathway to Homeownership” course in two segments, beginning first with the “Take Charge of Your Money” financial literacy class and followed with “Ready, Set, Own,” a more in-depth review of the homebuying process.
These homebuyer education workshops, approved by the Pennsylvania Housing & Finance Agency (PHFA), aim to help those interested in purchasing their first home by providing the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the complex process.
“Pathway to Homeownership” workshops cover topics including fair housing, predatory lending, credit reports and scores, available mortgage assistance programs, choosing a Realtor and lender, homeowners’ insurance, closing and settlement process, and more.
This FREE workshop will be offered in English, in person at the CPC administration building, 226 E. College Avenue, York, PA 17403. For more information or to register to attend a session, please call (717) 846-4600 or email
