Wassail Willow Crown-Making

Nature walk and material gathering. Weaving Willow into headdress-size wreaths.

It's wassail season in Somerset, when we gather to celebrate and bless our orchards for the year ahead. This workshop is a chance to make some headdress wreaths for you and the family to wear at your local wassail! We'll use natural materials such as willow, hazel and dogwood stems, evergreen trees, dried seedheads and fluffy wild clematis, all gathered locally. No need to bring anything apart from £8 in cash, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Please note: We will be under cover on the day, but we will not have any heating.

Cost: £8 per adult, to be paid on the day in cash or card. Meeting point, Ham Hill Visitor's Centre (Limekiln Carpark, Ham Hill, TA14 6RW) at 12:20. Event runs until 15:30 at the Ham Hill Outdoor Education Zone.
