RAeS Yeovil Branch Christmas Extravaganza!

Come along this Christmas to take part in a night of action-packed science and Engineering games and activities!

The RAeS Yeovil Branch, in conjunction with joint partners Leonardo Helicopters STEM team and Yevil College, have put together a jam-packed night to show off the exciting world of being a real-life life-saving helicopter pilot.

Throughout the evening, there will be a host of different STEM activities and talks going on for you and your family to enjoy at your leisure. The evening will be an fun and engaging event that helps bring people together who love aerospace and network with the friends and family of those in Yeovil and the surrounding areas. This we will be an opportunity for some hands-on activities at interactive booths, including; the ability for you to carry out your own helicopter Search and Rescue Mission, use a Virtual Reality headset station to be transported to a simulated world and get hands-on with one of the world's fastest planes, and finally, the chance to design, build and test your own helicopter!

This interactive talk is the perfect mix of technical and fun; designed to interest & inspire adults and children alike, so please bring the family along! We look forward to seeing you and feel free to wear your best Christmas jumpers!

Doors will open at 18:00 and the approximate event finish time will be 20:30. The event will be a mixture of activity tables and interactive talks.

We will be having a special guest talk at 18:30 from our friends at the Somerset Air Ambulance on the brilliant work they do saving lives daily.

Activity tables will be run on a "first come, first served basis"; however children will be given priority on some of the more popular tables (VR Headsets).

Refreshments will also be available free of charge.
