Dear All,
Following the success of last year, and due to popular demand, Paul McHugh and Andy Hoggarth are excited to be hosting the 5th annual Southwest Coldstream Guards and Household Div Gathering. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 18th at Yeovil Rugby Club.
In a departure from traditional military gatherings, we have integrated the event with a Yeovil 1XV home fixture, and there will be no charge for admittance or attendance. We kindly request that attendees dress in casual attire and have the option to camp at the club. As in previous years, both myself and Andy will be available to provide advice on local hotels and taxi companies if needed.
Further details and a full itinerary will be made available closer to the event date. However, the day's program will closely resemble previous years, with the bar opening from lunchtime until late evening. Rugby matches are set to kick off around 14:30hrs, followed by a raffle, small auction, and concluding with live music. A small buffet will be provided around 13:00hrs for early arrivals, and additional food will be available for purchase throughout the day from the club kitchen.
This inclusive event is open to the wider military community and is conveniently timed to coincide with our weekly Armed Forces Breakfast Club. Furthermore, the day is open to the general public, as well as our regular rugby club members and supporters.
