Join us for a relaxed, creative day where you’ll learn how to capture the life and personality of animals using soft pastels. Whether you’re new to pastels or looking to build on your skills, this hands-on workshop will guide you through techniques for creating realistic fur, sparkling eyes, and expressive details.
What we’ll cover:
Fun warm-up exercises to get familiar with soft pastels
Building layers of colour for depth and vibrancy
Techniques for creating fur texture and shine
Tips and tricks for drawing animals with character
This workshop is ideal for anyone who loves drawing animals and wants to experiment with soft pastels in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
What to bring:
Pastel paper (A4 or A3)
Soft pastels (I’ll be using Inscribe brand pastels)
Putty rubber
Feel free to bring your own reference photos, I will provide plenty as well.
Lunch and a drink (we’ll have a short lunch break)
