📢 Event Update – Picnic Relocation 📢
We’re sorry for the late change, but due to potentially unsafe ground conditions, this Saturday’s picnic will now be moved to the Ainslie Baronial Hall in Canberra, and held on Sunday instead.
✅ The event will begin at the same time as planned. Master Crispin has secured us the Hall from an earlier time.
✅ The hall will be open to us from 10:00 am.
✅BYO picnic
✅All fighting will take place inside. If you wish to keep fighting after a leg blow, please cover all exposed metal on your legs to follow the rules of the hall.
✅Hall hire:
If you have pre-paid for the Hall this will be considered a paid event entry.
If you have previously paid for the event, and not the hall - this will count as paying for the hall.
If you have pre-paid for both, we will note this at sign in and sort it out after the event. We can organise for refunds or for the money to go towards the next Yass picnic event.
We apologise for the fluid nature of this event and thank you all for your understanding. We’re also working on securing better wet-weather options for all future Yass picnics so we can avoid changes like this down the line.

10:00 – Site opens / armour inspections
10:30 – Opening court if applicable
11:00 – Heavy Tournament
12:30 – BYO picnic lunch / dance class / games
14:00 – Rapier tournament
15:00 – A&S competition judging / entries close
15:30 – closing court / awards
16:00 – event close
