RIDE NOTICE - SUNDAY September 28th, 2025
Carrajung Memorial Park, Carrajung
Combined ride with Toongabbie District Riders Club.
Join us for a walk only ride down Old Carrajung Road to the Carrajung Cemetery where we will visit the grave of a returned mounted soldier from the Boer War. We will return back up to Carrajung through bush and pine tracks.
A BBQ lunch will be available at a cost of $15 per head, back at the Memorial Park.
The park has toilets, plenty of parking and a covered BBQ area. The fire pit will be lit with a lovely warm fire to welcome us back and a hot urn will be ready for a cuppa.
Directions:
Coming from Gormandale you follow the Hyland way C482 up Powers Hill and at the top you turn up towards Carrajung on the Grand Ridge Rd. C484
At Carrajung you turn left onto OConner St which runs into Stitchling St and the Carrajung Memorial Park is on the corner of Stitchling St and McDermott Streets. If you are coming from Yarram head along the Hyland Hwy C482 and after about 25kms you turn left onto Old Carrajung Rd at the C482 and C453 (Woodside Rd) crossroad. You travel up Old Carrajung Road (it becomes dirt and windy) and at the top you will arrive at Carrajung Stitchling Rd, turn left and you will see the Carrajung Memorial Park.
If concerned please drive, there before the ride so you are confident towing on the Sunday morning.

Parking: Carrajung Memorial Park committee members will direct parking in the morning. TDRC signs will be out. There is plenty of easy parking available.
Lunch: BBQ Back at the Memorial Park, bring camp chairs and treats to share.

Arrival Time 8.30am.
Horseless Muster 9.15am horses to be saddled and ready to ride out after muster.
Ride Out Time 9.30am sharp.
Ride Duration Approx 4hours, 14kms plus lunch.
Pace and Terrain - Rated Easy, 14kms, very hilly.
Conditions: Shoes or boots recommended due to some blue stone areas.
What to bring - halter, lead rope, water bottle, sweets to share and camp chairs to enjoy afternoon tea back at the floats.

Every rider must be an ATHRA Member for 2025. You must have a Day Pass for the date of the ride or Full ATHRA Membership for 2025. If you are not a member of TDRC you must send a copy of your ATHRA Membership/Day Pass with your ride nomination.
If your plans change after nominating, please message the page to advise you are not attending so we are not held up waiting for anyone.
