Beer Mat Painting with Martin Battye at Blackfriars Tavern as part of OTHERWISE... [Intensive]

Join us for an evening painting beer mats and perhaps drinking the beers that sit upon them.

Martin Battye will introduce the evening by showing some of the beer mats he has painted over the years, using them as a space to test ideas quickly and work with found form and image.

In December 2024 Martin Battye had an exhibition of his beer mat paintings at PrimeYarc, and generously donated the sales of any works to support a subsequent exhibition with Herring House Trust.

This event is free and all are welcome (over 18s only)
All painting materials will be supplied.
Drinking materials will need to be purchased by you.

This event is part of OTHERWISE... [Intensive] - a week of activity piloting a Great Yarmouth Exploded Art School which would view the entire town as a place of potential work and learning, with everyone being a potential student and tutor.
