Danza Monarcas

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and National Coming Out Day, Yakima Valley College will host Danza Monarcas, a Seattle-based dance group that celebrates Mexican folklórico traditions through an LGBTQIA2+ lens.

Performances will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. on the Grandview Campus in the Student Activity Center, and at 1 p.m. on the Yakima Campus.

Special prize drawings will be held at both events, featuring signed copies of “Coco: The Official Cookbook,” by Gino Garcia. The performances are free and open to the public.
