About this Event

Acrylic Paint Pouring

Paint Pour, also known as acrylic pour painting, or acrylic flow painting, is a painting method created by pouring acrylic paint onto a surface to create a flowing design. While paint pour is simple to create and understand, there are many different techniques to try to create different flowing patterns. In this class we will be learning the technique instructor Keith Stangeland uses to create his paintings, while still giving participants room to create and explore this medium. Starting with color theory basics we will learn how to choose a color palette. Then we will take our 4x4-inch ceramic tiles, and learn how to pour and layer paint to create a colorful work of art.
There will be tarps and Aprons provided, however we suggest wearing clothes that can get messy. All other supplies are also provided, just show up and create!
Artwork will be wet for at least 48 hours, please consider bringing a tray or large box lid to carry them home, otherwise the art center will hold your creations in our drying racks until they are ready to pick up.

Ages:Children and adults of any art level will enjoy this beginner class. Children under 15 must sign up with an adult.
