Fiber Coil Coasters

3rd Grade & Up, Teens, Adults

Inspired by rag coiling techniques from African cultures, renowned local artist VET will guide participants through creating coasters by upcycling fabric scraps, thread, and beads. All materials provided. Children age 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children must be no younger than 8 years old to attend.

VET is a visual artist of Texas who incorporates environmental recycling awareness through her artwork, commission, and workshops. Her murals and art installations combine the aesthetics of fine art with an inventive application of found and repurposed objects. She has over 30 years of experience as an exhibiting artist, as well as, offering hands on classes, workshops and other customized programming.
