Join us in Seneca MO for a weekend of victory, renewal, and fellowship as we gather to celebrate Sigrblót- the ancient celebration where our ancestors made offerings to the gods and their forebears for triumph in the battles and labors of the coming summer season. Today we honor that spirit, giving our own gifts to the gods, our ancestors, and the spirits of the land as we seek their favor in the challenges and endeavors that await us with the turning of the seasons.
The gathering will begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday, with guests welcome to camp throughout the weekend and share in the full experience of ritual, feasting, games, and community beneath the open sky. Tents are welcome and camping will be primitive (no power hook ups but porta potties will be provided), but a hearty dinner will be provided on Friday night, with breakfast and dinner served on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Across this sacred weekend we will give offerings to the gods and our foregone kin, celebrate our victories of the past and those yet to come in sumble, and rekindle the bonds of community that make us strong. The fire will burn, the horn will be raised, and games will be played in good company and good spirit.
If you would like to set up a table or booth to sell your goods, crafts, or wares during the weekend, you are more than welcome to do so- free of cost. We value those who bring their skills and creations to share with the community, and encourage artisans, vendors, and tradesfolk to take part. Likewise, if you would be interested in holding a demonstration, workshop, or class during the weekend, please let us know- such offerings enrich the gathering and help strengthen the skills and spirit of the folk.
We are also seeking volunteers and helping hands- individuals or groups willing to lend their strength and time to make this gathering a success. Whether assisting with setup, cooking, firekeeping, or general aid, your effort will be deeply appreciated and properly honored.
All people of honor and good heart are welcome- regardless of faith, race, gender, or sexuality. Racists and bigots are absolutely not welcome here. Such poison has no place among honorable folk, and it will find no footing at this gathering.
Sigrblót is more than a mere festival- it is a renewal of old friendships, a rekindling of courage, and a reminder that even after the long darkness of winter, life and strength return. Come join in this living tradition, honor the holy powers, and stand among friends as we welcome the season of growth and triumph once more. As our ancestors once did, so do we again.
