Come join us the day after our exhibition opens at Caloundra Regional Gallery to explore what’s in bloom at Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park. We will walk and wander the paths, occasionally pausing for responding, drawing and photography. All experience levels catered for, drawing materials will be provided, but you are welcome to also bring you own. We will create postcards that can contribute to the ‘Wildflowering Wall’ for the ‘Wildflowering by Design’ exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery and other pieces as you so choose.
Hosted by Dr Sue Davis and other wild/flower women artists.
The walk is about 1-2 km return on sandy tracks approx level 2. There is some soft and uneven surfaces.
Participants should be aged 14 or older, or supervised by an accompanying adult.
A map with current flowers will be provided, as well as water and some refreshments.
Bring: Hat, insect protection, sun screen, portable chair.
Some basic art materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Please note that our meeting spot is at the end of the esplanade at the entrance to the park. The toilets and playground area is at the other end of the street.
