Old friends of the club, who always give us a great night of songs and witty anecdotes. It's good, finally, to have them return to the club after their previous gig in October 2024 had to be cancelled at the last minute when the pub was flooded by the overflowing of the mighty River Gwenfro!
“With two grand voices – individually and in harmony” (Folker-German Folk Magazine), the Anglo-German duo Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer offer a versatile miscellany of self-penned and imaginatively arranged songs, delivered with guitar, woodwind instrumentation and occasional percussion.

The duo has toured its shows extensively, taking in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Ireland and most corners of the UK, wooing audiences with Karen’s southern German accent tinged with an ‘oatcake induced’ North Staffordshire dialect from Paul’s heritage.
For those who haven't been before, the entrance is at the rear, from the car park and the room is up the stairs to the left.
Note: If you use the pub car park, you will need to enter your car registration number at a console on the bar. There is no charge but you do need to register to avoid a possible fine.
