We don't know what others are going through.
Yoga can, however, support people who are navigating challenging circumstances, such as grief, divorce, chronic illness, etc.
This 4-hour training will explore trauma-informed teaching approaches, including:
- Types of trauma
- How to create a safe(r) practice space
- Reading the energy in the room
- Language cues to invite full participation
- Self-care considerations.
Expect lively discussions, ample breaks for reflection, a trauma-informed yoga practice and an embodied sense of how to incorporate these techniques into your teaching. Worksheets are included.
*** This experience is open to yoga teachers, personal trainers, educators and to anyone who is curious about trauma-informed yoga. ***
Yoga teachers will earn 4 CEUs through Yoga Alliance upon completion of this workshop.
