Join me on Sept. 16th at 6:30 PM to learn the watercolor and ink piece, Shimmering Bee. This class is perfect for beginners. Led by watercolor artist, Caroline Porter, you’ll learn basic drawing skills, splatter techniques, and watercolor wet on wet techniques. Nervous about drawing? No worries, there will be stencils for the basic outline provided for those who would feel more comfortable using them. Tracing can help your hand gain muscle memory and many budding artists are encouraged to start there. For this 8x8 inch artwork, you’ll also choose your colors. Many students love the traditional warm yellows or choose fun and bright colors to make a rainbow inspired bee. Lastly, you’ll finish your bee with iridescent (AKA glitter watercolors) to highlight the wings and legs.

About the Venue: Creative Healing Space is a nonprofit art center located in downtown Worthington, MN. Please use street parking and enter through their main doors. You are more than welcome to bring your own food/beverage, bring take out from neighboring restaurants, or have something delivered.

Instructor will provide all necessary materials for this class, however, if you would like to use your own materials (i.e. paints or brushes), students are more than welcome to bring their own.
