Saturday 30th August 2025 - Classical Horsemanship for the Modern Rider
The clinic will begin with a demonstration by Scott Brodie, who will ride his own mare while explaining the importance of classical training methods and techniques. Work-in-hand is a corner stone of classical equitation which is a skill rarely taught in Australia and is something Scott has used and continues to use in training his own and clients horses. He will share his personal philosophies and showcase their application through a live demonstration and chat.
Following the demo, there will be a 1.5-hour group session focused on introducing and developing work in-hand. This session is ideal for riders and horse owners who are new to the concept, as well as more experienced participants looking to deepen their understanding.
In the afternoon, participants will be paired for semi-private 1hr lessons. These sessions will build on the concepts covered earlier in the day, offering an opportunity to explore "Par de Deux" work together and apply what was learned during the morning and group sessions. Once all 8 spots have filled, Scott will pair riders.
