Metal Shop Tool Training - Experienced User

This class will cover the fundamentals of fabrication, including the safe operation of Technocopia's welding equipment. This class is inteded for experienced users. You should have a good level of familiarity with metal shop tools before taking this class.

• Participants should bring close-toed shoes (work shoes are preferred, and non-synthetic materials preferred), ensure that the laces are not frayed. Wear clothes that are sturdy and flame-resistant (e.g. denim, cotton). Synthetic fibers (e.g. polyester) pose a personal hazard in the welding shop environment. Jeans and long sleeved shirt would be appropriate. Ensure that your clothing does not have frayed edges (e.g. around the cuffs of your pants).
• Successful completion of this course will result in certification of Technocopia members to independently use the tools directly covered in the course.
