As part of a series of curated collaborations, Vamos Theatre is teaming up with its good friends at Open Theatre to bring subsidised artist training to Worcestershire and beyond.
Are you a performing artist, theatre maker or facilitator looking to expand your practice? Open Theatre is leading a unique one-day practical training opportunity to learn about its non-verbal physical theatre practice and how the company use this when creating ensemble theatre. Led by Open Theatre’s Director, Richard Hayhow, it will be a day full of ideas, inspiration and exercises you can take straight back into your rehearsal rooms; an opportunity not to be missed.
Open Theatre has been developing work with Young People with Learning Disabilities (YPWLD) through non-verbal physical theatre for over 30 years. At the heart of its practice has always been a commitment to develop, promote and sustain the creativity and artistry of people with learning disabilities. www.opentheatre.co.uk
Vamos Theatre’s curation of this professional development session is supported by Garfield Weston Foundation, The Elmley Foundation and Arts Council England.
