Clarification of Thought

A Contemporary Midrash: An Interview with Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross

The next clarification of thought meeting in the Mystics series will be held on Saturday, the 24th of January, 2026, at 2 PM at the Mustard Seed Catholic Worker House, 93 Piedmont Street, Worcester, MA, 01609.

We are resuming the Mystics series with a bit of a departure from customary presentations. We will host a dramatic reading of an envisioned interview with our previously-met Carmelite pair, Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross, who we have featured in the last two meetings.

Ray Demers will assume the role of the interviewer, Barbara Driscoll de Alvarado will read as Teresa, and the author of the Midrash, Jerry Goguen, will be John. The reading will be followed by a shared conversation based on attendees' responses to this special spiritual drama. Please join us as the Spirit moves. Refreshments will be served. Thanks.
