Bats & Glow-Worms Walk

Join us for an engaging and interactive exploration of The Fold nature trails after dark. Magical glow-worms are under threat in the UK, but we’ll show you our protected areas where they are flourishing. (And you’ll also learn that they aren’t worms at all—they’re beetles!)

We’ll also explore the different bats who live here with our Bat Detector that enables us to hear their calls. The Fold is also home to different owls, so we may spot or hear some of these too!

Meet in The Fold main carpark by the pond at 9:15pm for a 9:30pm start. Weather should be fine but wear shoes for walking around the trails.

The walk is offered for free by our naturalist Keith, but we would warmly welcome donations towards the upkeep of our nature trails.
