Queenslanders love nature, let's celebrate it! We are lucky to share this beautiful state with so many incredible unique plants and animals. We are connected to wildlife and nature in so many ways, whether that's through culture, curiosity or wellbeing, or maybe just because we can't live without it.
Despite our love, right here in Queensland we have over 1000 species threatened with extinction, including our precious koalas and greater gliders. Wildlife are losing their homes to deforestation and climate change, and we desperately need our governments to stand up for nature and protect their homes.
Australia is in the midst of a deforestation crisis. Right here in Queensland, hundreds of thousands of hectares of life-giving forests and bushland are bulldozed every year— destroying the homes of iconic species like the Koala, Greater Glider and Red Goshawk.
Right now, the Albanese Government is re-writing nature laws and we must come together to demand the strongest protections for the animals and plants we love.
Come along to a fun and creative action at the roadside! Using the power of theatre and creativity, we are celebrating our incredible wildlife and highlighting what we risk losing forever.
