Morrison Studio Program & Exhibit

In honor of National Archives Month the Shenandoah County Library, Shenandoah County Historical Society, and Woodstock Museum will host a special event on October 1 highlighting the Morrison Studio Collection.

This event, starting at 6:30PM, will feature special Morrison exhibits (including a collection of the studio's cameras) and a program (beginning at 7:00PM) the discusses the 32,000+ images preserved in the Morrison Studio Collection. It will be held at the Shenandoah County Government Center. Utilize the main entrance (under the clock tower).

Founded in 1899 and operating through 1988, Morrison Studio was a Woodstock based photograph studio operated by Hugh Morrison Jr. and his family. The collection of surviving images/negatives documents much of Shenandoah County's History during the 20th century.
