A Wilderness of Prose and Sound

Join us for a unique and meditative afternoon featuring Karl Javernig’s improvised solo guitar. This isn’t just a gig; it’s an immersive experience where music meets landscape and literature. Karl will be performing a live improvised music soundtrack to a beautifully curated video presentation.

The video takes you on a slow journey through the natural beauty of Eastern Australia, with breathtaking imagery shot across the Bangalow forest of Queensland, the majestic Snowy Mountains and Monaro district of NSW, the mysterious expanse of Lake George, and scenes from Karl’s home in the Blue Mountains.

Adding a further layer of reflection, these visuals are interspersed with the wonderful prose of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, creating a deeply moving, multisensory experience.
