Charlie and “The Dig” A talk by Charlie Haylock

Charlie Haylock, voice coach for the film The Dig, will give his talk Charlie and ‘The Dig’. This will be Charlie’s 200th talk, and his last in Suffolk, as he retires at the end of 2025 – so make sure the date is in your diary!
This is an intriguing and sometimes hilarious look behind-the-scenes at the making of the film The Dig, based on John Preston’s novel of the same name, about the 1939 excavation and people involved. Charlie recounts how a potential “scam” email turned out to be real and was followed by a call from actor Ralph
Fiennes. He explains how Fiennes and the other actors learnt their Suffolk accent ... and not sound like West Country pirates!
