International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day celebrated annually across the world. IDPwD provides us with an opportunity to raise awareness, understanding and acceptance of the 5.5 million people with disability in Australia.
To mark IDPwD this December 3, from 11am to 2pm Wodonga Council will host three short movie screenings at The Cube Wodonga, alongside fun and interactive activities that allow everyone to join in the celebrations.
Screened in the auditorium, movies on show are the adventurous animation ‘The Snail and the Whale’, magical Christmas movie ‘Prep & Landing’ and IMAX documentary ‘Pandas’.
Don’t miss out on face painting, large games, an art activity, photobooth and treasure hunt throughout the event.
Pick up your complimentary bag of popcorn or ice cream, included with your ticket, and get ready for an afternoon of enjoyment. A light lunch will also be provided.
This is a free, accessible, all-inclusive event. Bookings are essential.
Please note: The Cube Wodonga is an inclusive venue that offers a range of accessibility amenities including accessible parking, wheelchair and scooter entry, an accessible restroom with an adult changing table and a hearing loop system in the foyer.
