$129 for 8 hours of instruction. The class meets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on four consecutive Sundays, starting September 7. Class will meet on Sept 7, 14, 21, and 28.
We will be sewing drawstring pants in this series. The itinerary for the four classes is:
Day 1: Introduction to sewing machines, threading practice, and basic machine use. Overview of pattern packaging, pattern instructions, fabric types and vocabulary, needles, and thread.
Day 2: Tracing the pattern onto fabric and understanding pattern symbols. Cutting fabric, caring for fabric scissors, and working with muslin.
Day 3: Begin assembling pants using the sewing machine.
Day 4: Finish sewing the pants and add the drawstring.
Please note: Light homework will be assigned between classes to reinforce skills and keep your project on track.
Supplies are also needed for the class. Sewing Students are entitled to a 10% discount on new machines and notions during enrollment.
