Providence is offering a free educational event on how to reduce your risk of falling.
During this event:
- Learn how medications, footwear and changes to your home environment can help keep you safe and on your feet.
- Try tai chi! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes for moving. The regular practice of tai chi offers several health benefits and has been shown to reduce the risk of falling by 50%. It’s also a great way to improve strength and flexibility.
- Get your questions answered by community partners.
- Learn about physical therapy for balance.
All are welcome. Snacks are provided.
