BAUBLE MARBLING WORKSHOP
Sunday 7 December 9.45 am - 1.00 pm or 2.15 pm - 5.30 pm
£70 including refreshments, materials, use of equipment on the day, tutoring, comprehensive notes to take home along with your marbled baubles.
This half-day group workshop (choose from the AM or the PM session) with our guest tutor, Anne Hickley, is suitable for all skill levels.
You will learn the basic technique of marbling with acrylic paints and practice on some recycled plastic baubles before moving on to six ceramic baubles, which you will be able to take home at the end of the day and hang on the tree. You can choose your own colour combos and types of pattern. (Once completely dry they can be varnished to give them a light sheen, if you prefer, and I will recommend varnishes you can use at home should you choose to do that. You can also paint words or designs onto the marbled baubles later on.) This is a quick and easy introduction to marbling with a fun, Christmasy result at the end of it.
Anne will bring examples of her work to inspire you.
All materials are provided.
Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.
This BAUBLE MARBLING WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition.
This relaxing workshop is suitable for 16+.
About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the session - tailored to meet all dietary requirements.
All students will be provided with a certificate of completion.
