Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day!

Start your day off great! Walking & biking to school promotes health, improves air quality, and in our community, it may take less time than driving. Walking & biking with your child is also a great opportunity to help them learn and practice safe walking and biking skills.

If you live too far from the GFB, drive part of the distance, then park and walk or bike the rest! Here are 3 areas to park your car and walk or bike with your child the remainder of the distance to school:
• Parking along Veterans Field on Franklin St. --- 0.40 miles to school
• Public Lot on Crest Ave ---- 0.49 miles to school
• Public parking lot at George St. and Winthrop St. ---0.59 miles

Participants will receive a sticker and bookmark upon arrival. If you’ve ever considered walking or biking to school with your child, today is the day!
