2nd Annual “You’re A Champ” Coed Softball Classic Teams & Captains:

THIS WILL BE A "PICK A STICK" TOURNEY.

WE WILL SUPPLY THE BATS TO SWING.

YOUR OWN BATS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.

- (1) field only | short fences | roughly 275’ LF/CF, 250’ RF

- Tournament details will be provided in team packets handed out prior to 1st game

RULES TO KNOW:

REGISTRATION:
- All players are REQUIRED to sign team roster & waiver BEFORE playing in their first game. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- 24-48 hours before tournament, if there are any players who will not be able to sign team roster and waiver before first game, coach is required to communicate this with tournament director. (this eliminates issues or questions related to pick up players)
- NO PICKUP PLAYERS ON SUNDAY! NO EXCEPTIONS!

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
- Pool Play and Bracket have been posted (check the discussions tab | pinned post at the top)

BATS:
- ASA/USA are APPROVED | USSSA (220 & 240 stamps) are APPROVED.
- Senior or Sun Coast bats are NOT APPROVED PERIOD!

BALLS:
- Game balls will be provided by tournament.

BATTERS:
- A walk to a male batter will result in a two-base award. ONLY WITH 2-OUTS will a female batter be given the option to walk or hit.
- HOME RUN RULE – Men HRs will result in Dead Ball Out (DBO), Women have Unlimited HRs per game.
- “BANDANA GIRL” is (1) female player - denoted on scorecard with an asterisk (*). They will be required to run for themselves. Each at bat, they’ll be required to wear mask and cape (provided in coaches packet).
- MUST wear during ENTIRE AT BAT | Failure to comply, results in forfeit of 3-runs bonus and will become a regular batter.
- As a pinch runner, if they score, this will only count as 1-run.

PITCHERS:
- May pitch between 50’ and 56’ while staying in line with the 50’ rubber. They do have the option to change distances during an at bat.
- MASK will be required for all pitchers’ - NO EXCEPTIONS!
- The ball shall be delivered with perceptible arc and reach a height of 6 feet minimum from the ground, while not exceeding a maximum height of 12 feet from the ground.
- NO JUKING OR PUMP FAKING - The pitcher shall not make any motion to pitch without immediately delivering the ball to the batter. if it happens the umpire will call a no pitch.

RUNNERS:
- (1) Male & (1) Female courtesy runner per inning
- NO additional courtesy runner for the pitcher.

DEFENSE:
- (5) Male & (5) Female on the field always, NO EXCEPTIONS!
- No fielding requirements: Male and Female players can wherever you want on the field!
- No male player may take a play away from any female on a batted fly ball in the outfield. Overplay will result in all players being ruled safe at the base to which they were headed.

GAMES: (Saturday & Sunday)
- Saturday, 8:00AM - 7:00PM | Sunday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM
- Teams need to be ready 15 minutes before scheduled game times (Pool Play & Bracket Play) and 30 minutes before Championship as games will start early! **
- Teams may bat up to maximum of 14 players in any game **

Pool Play:
- (3) games | (50) minute Drop-Dead Gametime Rule | (7) runs max per inning (1st, 2nd, and 3rd only) | Unlimited runs 4th inning onward
- Mercy Rule in full effect | 20 after 3, 15 after 4, 10 after 5
- Drop Dead Gametime Rule = When the time expires, the game ends. The team ahead will win game. We will NOT revert to the previous completed inning score.

Bracket Play:
- Single Elimination | NO new inning will start after (55) mins | NO Bandana Girl and NO Drop-Dead Rule
- Higher seed is automatically Home Team
- International tie breaker will be in effect until there is a winner in each game.
- Mercy Rule in full effect | 20 after 3, 15 after 4, 10 after 5

Championship game:
- Higher seed is automatically Home Team | Winner takes all (no “if” game)
- NO Time Limit and NO runs max per inning
- International tie breaker will be in effect until there is a winner of game.
