An Elegant Autumn Evening in the Orchard

This October, Field to Fork Iowa invites you to a one-of-a-kind dining experience at the beautiful Winterset Cidery. Surrounded by an orchard cultivating more than 30 heirloom apple varieties, the cidery is Iowa’s first post-and-beam cider house — a space where rustic charm and modern craftsmanship meet. With sweeping countryside views and the warmth of community gathering, it is the perfect setting for a harvest celebration.

The Findlay family, stewards of Winterset Cidery, will welcome us into their orchard and share the story behind their ciders and the heirloom apples that make them unique.

The Dinner

Our guest chef, Chef Ben, will curate a five-course menu beginning with elegant appetizers — each course thoughtfully sourced from local farmers, ranchers, and food artisans. This dinner is a celebration of Iowa’s regenerative agriculture, showcasing the vibrant flavors of the season in dishes designed to connect you to the land.

To highlight the orchard’s bounty, three handcrafted ciders from Winterset Cidery will be paired with select courses. In addition, cider itself will be woven into the menu, enhancing the culinary experience with orchard-inspired flavors.
