Hemant Mehta, The Friendly Atheist is back!
The New Atheists became popular at a time when books could captivate a country. That time is long gone. While some politicians and powerful religious groups have adapted to a new era of media, atheist organizations have not. Let's talk about what needs to change in our community and how all of us can play a part in that.
Hemant Mehta is the founder and editor of FriendlyAtheist.com, a YouTube creator, and a podcast co-host. He is a former National Board Certified math teacher in the suburbs of Chicago and continues to coach a nationally competitive public speaking team. He's the author of multiple books, publishes crossword puzzles for the New York Times and Slate, and was a Jeopardy! champion.

CFFC Educational Events are free and open to the public. Enjoy thought-provoking speakers, local freethought news, state/church activism, volunteer opportunities, and socializing. Come out to meet old friends and make new ones. Coffee and water will be available with snacks served during the social hour after the meeting so plan to stay a while.
CFFC has no membership dues, but we do have recurring expenses that keep the organization running. The largest expense are these monthly meetings (venue, equipment, speaker fees, travel, etc.).
