ACAP Winston-Salem is hosting a free, in-person educational program titled "Medicare & SHIIP: The Must Knows" on Tuesday, October 21st at 5:30pm at the Highland Presbyterian Church Activity Building in Winston-Salem, NC.
Empower yourself with knowledge of Medicare and SHIIP programs for your aging parents. Understand eligibility, service coverage, and how to navigate federal and state resources. Learn to access essential websites, complete paperwork, and compare healthcare providers, ensuring informed advocacy for your parents’ health and medical care.
Program Presenters: Melissa Hunt and Holli Ward
Holli holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences & a minor in Business from Appalachian State University, and a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of NC-Greensboro. In addition, Holli is a Certified Case Manager (CCM), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), and Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselor and educator. Holli founded Age with Grace in 2012, which provides geriatric care management for clients in a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health challenges.
Melissa owns Hunt Insurance Solutions, with over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry and a passion for helping people make informed decisions. Melissa graduated with a degree in Marketing and Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After graduation, I worked with AON Corporation and AIG and became a National Sales Manager, traveling throughout all states east of the Mississippi River. In 2012, after staying at home with my children for a couple of years, I started Hunt Insurance Solutions.
