Sound the Silence in Domestic Violence Diapers/Wipes Drive
and Women’s Self Defense Class presented by Latisha Alford (Back to the Basics Nutrition and Fitness) and Willetta Alford (Willpower Health & Fitness) with Instructor John Driver.
With the help and generosity of our community, through individual, business, and organization donations our STSIDV Diaper/Wipes Drive has had much success over the years and it is growing each year. Which aids in assisting one of our many ways of giving back to the community. Your assistance in donations and volunteering is much needed and appreciated as we prepare for this month. This is a constant bottomless need for the Women Shelter and Bridges to Hope.
Diaper/Wipes donations will be provided to both Family Services of Forsyth County, NC and Bridges to Hope, Family Justice Center of Forsyth County for survivors of interpersonal violence.
We hope that you will attend the Women's Self-Defense Class, but if you are not attending we have made it very easy and convenient, through our volunteers for you to just drive up and drop off your diaper/wipes donations, no parking necessary. So while you are out grocery shopping, pick up some diapers and/or wipes for this great cause.
You don't want to miss the Women's Self-Defense Class, instructed by John Driver, his vast experience and training will keep you energized and engaged. It is not only educational, but it is fun-filled, hands on, and interactive learning in ways you never thought on how to protect yourself.
Resources of information will be available to anyone that may need assistance by Family Services and Bridges to Hope, Family Justice Center
We strongly recommend pre-registration for the Women's Self-Defense Class.
