The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office’s (FCSO) next Citizens’ Academy will begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Classes will be held every Tuesday, 6:30 PM- 8:30 PM, for 7 weeks (ending on October 21, 2025). These classes will be held at the Winnsboro Midlands Tech Campus located at 1674 US Highway 321 Bus N in Winnsboro. Participants must be 18 years of age, or older, and citizens of Fairfield County with no, or a limited, criminal history. We will continue to have future classes as interest dictates.
This class is designed to acquaint citizens of Fairfield County with the personnel, services, investigative techniques, and “day to day” operations of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office. Topics that will be covered include Narcotics Investigations, Criminal Investigations, K9 Operations, SRO (School Resource Officers) functions, Local Gang Awareness, COP (Community Oriented Policing) programs, Special Operations, and a general overview of the structure of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.
