Tours begin every 15 minutes from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Take a guided walking tour through eight veterans' gravesites, each representing a different era of U.S. military history:
Alfred Copeland – War of 1812
John W. Mitchell – Civil War
Charles A. Thorne – Spanish-American War
William Mandeville – World War I
Dudley McDonald – World War II
Stanley Meyers – Korean War
John R. Waterstreet – Vietnam War
Aaron Bachman – War on Terror
Admission
$5 per person (non-members)
FREE for WCHS members and children 12 & under
Tickets and tour registration are available at the Winnebago Public Library, by email, or by calling 815-222-9994. WCHS members are encouraged to call or email to reserve a spot.
Each guest will receive a beautifully designed interpretive booklet and enjoy refreshments including ice cream from The Scoop!
A riding tour for mobility-impaired guests departs hourly starting at 1:00 PM. Space is limited (5 seats per tour) so purchase your tickets and/or reserve your seat ASAP.
Parking & Shuttle Info
Park at the Win-Bur-Sew Fire Protection District lot on Kelley Rd., just east of Westfield Rd. Signs and parking attendants will guide you. A shuttle will take you to and from the cemetery.
