Arvo Pärt is a pivotal composer within music history whose greatest source of inspiration was medieval Gregorian chant. This programme places Pärt in the context of composers such as William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, including his magnificent Spem in alium, as well as contemporary works by Unsuk Chin and Eric Whitacre
