Second Saturdays Open Hearth Cooking: Everything But the Turkey

Looking for some new “old” ideas for your holiday feasts? Join us in creating and then sampling/taking home these traditional, colonial dishes: apple-currant relish, sherried sweet potatoes, creamed celery with pecans, onion pie, sweet potato biscuits, and pompion pie.

Prepare scrumptious colonial dishes in the Strong-Howard House kitchen’s open hearth and bake oven under Becky’s expert tutelage. Sample each other’s creations, then take some leftovers home.

Pre-registration required. Ages 10 and up. This program is limited to 6 participants, so do not wait!

$75 per person plus estimated $12-15 food costs, to be paid on the day of the program.
