Three-Day Trimming & Glue-On Shoeing Intensive
This three-day intensive is designed for industry professionals who want to deepen their understanding of glue-on systems and refine their clinical decision-making, hoof preparation and application skills.
This is not an introduction to trimming. It is a structured, hands-on learning environment for practitioners who already have a solid foundation in anatomy and tool use and want to elevate their glue-on work with clarity and confidence.
Across three days, we will move from shared theory and assessment frameworks through to cadaver preparation and live-horse application, ensuring participants leave with practical, transferable skills.
What We’ll Cover Across the Three Days
• functional biomechanics specific to glue-on systems
• hoof mapping for glue-on purposes
• recognising distortion patterns and case selection
• glue types, material properties and environmental considerations
• indications, contraindications and common failure points
• live horse assessment and mapping demonstration
• structured hoof preparation guided by landmarks and balance
• step-by-step glue-on shoe application
• cadaver mapping, preparation and glue application under supervision
• one-to-one coaching and troubleshooting
• live horse case assessment including static and dynamic evaluation
• clinical decision-making in real time
• group case planning and discussion
• guided live glue-on application in small groups
• feedback, refinement and consolidation of skills
➕ Optional Day 4 – BYO Horse (Subject to Demand)
If there is sufficient interest, we will extend to a fourth day.
Participants may bring their own horse for full assessment, preparation and glue-on application under supervision.
