December Full Moon Hike

Wear appropriate clothing and bring a headlamp or flashlight for this unforgettable nocturnal adventure. December's full moon is often called the Cold Moon, due to the drop in temperature that typically occurs during this time of year. Other names for this full moon include the Long Nights Moon and the Oak Moon, both of which reference the lengthening nights and the changing of the seasons. The Cold Moon is a time of reflection and introspection, as the year comes to a close and the winter solstice approaches.
