Blessing of the Animals at St. Luke's UMC

Join us for a special Blessing of the Animals as we celebrate the joy, love, and companionship our animals bring into our lives.

Whether furry, feathered, or scaled, your pets are part of God’s creation and a source of daily blessing. This short, family-friendly ceremony will give thanks for the unconditional love of our animal companions and ask God’s care and protection over them.

All (domesticated) pets are welcome—dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and more! Don’t have a pet? You’re still invited! Come share in the celebration, bring a photo of a beloved pet, or simply join in giving thanks for the creatures that brighten our world.

After the blessing, stick around for a time to connect with fellow animal lovers. You’ll leave with memories, gratitude, and a reminder of how deeply God’s love extends to all creation.
