Leading the charge is theatre titan John P. Kelly, Artistic Director of Seven Thirty Productions and a legend with decades of directing and producing plays across Canada and Ireland. Think professional theatre in Ottawa, 20 years with RTE (Ireland's National Broadcaster) as Managing Editor of Features and Arts, and even a stint as Head of Specialized Programming with the European Broadcasting Union in Geneva. He’s trained with the Abbey Theatre, helmed radio drama, and adjudicated community theatre for over 30 years—basically, he’s forgotten more about theatre than most of us will ever know! And he’s bringing all that magic to Winchester for YOU. Expect a whirlwind of creativity over two jam-packed days. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., you’ll explore directing, acting, and everything in between. No stuffy lectures here—just hands-on hilarity and pro tips from John. Wear clothes you can move in, bring a packed lunch or grab a meal from a nearby restaurant, and get ready to unleash your inner star. Some theatre experience? Awesome, you’ll shine even brighter. No experience? Perfect, you’ll fit right in!
“This isn’t just a workshop—it’s a theatre party,” says Harmony, the Dundas County Players’ resident fun expert. “If it’s not a blast, why bother? John’s got the skills, and we’ve got the spirit to make this unforgettable.”
Only 30 spots are up for grabs, so don’t wait! Whether you’re a member snagging the $40 deal or a newbie jumping in at $50, this is your ticket to a weekend of theatrical thrills.
