3.4.40 & One Man Balloon Meet

The 42nd One Man Meet will be held at Popham Airfield, with the chance to meet up with other aviators and learn more about Popham’s 50 year history.

For those new to the One Man Meet, it is solo ballooning for envelopes up to 60,000 cu ft, unless it’s a duo chair (when two are allowed). Whether the balloon has a small basket or hopper chair, all are welcome.

Also joining the fun will be the 3.4.40 region of the BBAC - local balloonists with larger balloons, to fly alongside the one-man balloons. Flights are scheduled to take place on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning (all weather dependant).

Pilots and crew will be on hand to explain how a balloon works and what is required to fly a hot air balloon.
