Fall 2025 Homegrown Writers Series

Barton College’s Homegrown Writers Series returns this fall on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 4:30 p.m. in the Barton Art Galleries of the Case Art Building. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.

This year’s program will feature Kathy Daughety, Rachel K. Deale, Brent Canle, and Katherine Lindfors, sharing poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Now in its third year, the series is guided by Michael K. Brantley, Elizabeth H. Jordan Chair of Southern Literature and Associate Professor of English.

The Homegrown Writers Series has become a Barton tradition, offering an intimate setting to hear the voices of faculty, staff, and alumni in the fall, with a companion student-focused event each spring.
